Q. Are all people then saved through Christ just as they were lost through Adam?
是否是所有人都因基督得救，正如所有人都在亚当里堕落？
A. No.
Only those are saved who through true faith are grafted into Christ and accept all his benefits. [1]
不。
只有那些通过真实的信心而被接入基督并接受祂所有好处的人才得救了。[1]

Q. What is true faith?
真实的信心是什么？
A. True faith is not only a sure knowledge by which I hold as true: all that God has revealed to us in Scripture;[1]
it is also a wholehearted trust,[2] which the Holy Spirit creates in me [3] by the gospel, [4] that God has freely granted, not only to others but to me also, [5] forgiveness of sins, eternal righteousness, and salvation. [6]
These are gifts of sheer grace, granted solely by Christ’s merit.[7]
真实的信心不仅是一份我持定认为真实的知识，叫我确信神在圣言中所启示我们的都是真的；[1] 这也同时是一份全心的信托，是圣灵藉福音[4]造在我里面的[3]： 就是神已经白白赐下罪的赦免、永远的义和拯救[6]，不仅赐给别人也赐给我。[5]
这是浩大恩典之恩赐，乃是唯独因基督所作的大工而得。[7]

Q. What then must a Christian believe?
什么是一个基督徒必须相信的呢？
A. All that is promised us in the gospel, [1]
a summary of which is taught us in the articles of our universal and undisputed Christian faith.
一切在福音中应许我们的，[1] 在我们普世而无可辩驳的基督信仰之条文中有其总结，我们也受此教。

Q. What are these articles?
这些条文是什么？
A. (Apostles’ Creed)
- I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
- I believe in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord,
- who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
- He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried;
- he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead.
- He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
- From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
- I believe in the Holy Spirit,
- the holy catholic church, the communion of saints,
- the forgiveness of sins,
- the resurrection of the body,
- and the life everlasting. Amen.
